It started with a man named Mulready
Consistently voted best bar in the Flint Hills, Mulready’s Pub was founded in 2013 by Rick Becker, who began with a dream to create a cozy, inviting place to enjoy the greatest gift to mankind – craft beer. Rick, who is half German and half Irish, named the pub after his great grandfather, John Mulready, whose face watches over the bar. Rick’s grandmother also shows her face around the pub. As tradition dictates, you will also find Meg’s nana above the bar. You can ask for your beer in a “nana” glass, which is a smaller 10 oz serving and is “nana approved!”
It wouldn’t be an Irish pub without the official Irish Republic Proclamation looking over us, too. Thanks to the late Jamie Darcy, our beloved Irishman who left us too soon, for this meaningful gift.
Atmosphere
With its glass front, the pub is bright, clean, and inviting. The patio in the back is perfect for enjoying a drink outside. We feature live music, firkin tappings, and tasting events on occasion through out the year. Our beer selection changes with the seasons, so come see what’s new!
